Paul Jowett joins as new Managing Partner

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is welcoming Paul Jowett, who took over the position of Managing Partner of the firm's London office on 1 January 2012.
Paul Jowett has taken up the position of Managing Partner at Roland Berger's London Office effective 1 January 2012. With his more than 25 years of expertise in consulting – of which 21 years in various leading positions for consulting firms in Germany – he will strengthen Roland Berger's position in the UK.
A British citizen, Paul completed a doctorate in politics at the University of Oxford, and spent a number of years working in academia before entering strategy consulting in 1986. In 1990 he moved to Germany to build up the Munich office of a US consulting firm. In 1995 he became Head of a British consulting company's Munich office, which he led for 15 years, building up one of the largest private equity support practices in Germany.
In 2010 Paul, together with a group of his closest colleagues, came to Roland Berger, where he joined the Corporate Finance team in Germany. During 2011 the team completed over sixty commercial due diligences, establishing Roland Berger as one of the leaders in strategic advice to private equity. Based on his extensive experience, Paul, together with his wife, Francoise, wrote "Private Equity - The German Experience", published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2011.
Paul and Francoise have two daughters and count among their favorite pastimes scuba diving and snorkeling.
