7th Annual Oxford Private Equity Forum

Roland Berger is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 7th Annual Oxford Private Equity Forum, which will be held on the 1st June at the Saïd Business School of Oxford University. This year’s forum will cover a diverse range of topics, including the ongoing relationships between limited and general partners, managing portfolio companies post deal and lessons learned from private equity in Germany.

The final topic will include a speech by Roland Berger Partner Paul Jowett. Private equity came late to Germany and its early prospects seemed poor. The early players were told that only unhealthy German companies would be sold to a private equity house. Fraud was a significant problem, as sellers of struggling companies attempted to cover up their problems with inflated numbers. But as the private equity industry developed, lessons were learnt and converts won to the cause of management buyouts.

Paul has over 20 years consulting experience and is based in Roland Berger's Corporate Finance Competence Center. He has worked on commercial due diligence projects for around 80 PE firms and was responsible for more than 350 projects.
